Pacific Firewood & Lumber, Inc. is a family owned business. We have been in operation for more than 40 years starting with a small wood lot and now occupy 5 acres and a 14,000 sq. foot warehouse in Watsonville, California.

Pacific Firewood & Lumber, Inc. is owned and operated by Tim Taylor, and continues to be a family business with help from his sons.
Cutting firewood and logging has always been part of his family memories. When Tim was a young boy, he was responsible for cutting wood for his mother. They had a Wedgewood stove for cooking, and Tim’s job was to get the wood for the cooking and for heating the house. He also helped his dad restore many of the California Missions all over the state.
Tim would always cut firewood for his neighbors and sell the wood in the winter months. Word spread and he was cutting wood for everyone, and soon Tim Taylor’s Tree Service and Firewood began. Around 1982, Tim started selling boxed wood and his business developed into Pacific Firewood and Lumber.
“It’s ironic,” admits Tim. “We have one of the few products that people take home and burn, and then come back and want more.”
“Being consistent is key. We pride ourselves in providing our customers with clean, good quality firewood and excellent customer service.” Tim’s philosophy is, “If you take care of your customers, they will want to come back. We’re always here to help.”

Our firewood, primarily sourced from invasive Eucalyptus species, provides an eco-friendly solution that helps restore native ecosystems. We are dedicated to sustainability, which is why our Old Growth Redwood comes exclusively from windfalls, hazardous tree removals, and forest management initiatives. By utilizing these resources, we help protect and preserve the health of local forests.
From the start, we’ve been committed to safeguarding Redwood forests through responsible forestry practices. Our approach ensures that no healthy trees are cut, focusing instead on certified fire breaks and shade management. This allows us to offer high-quality firewood while maintaining our core mission of environmental stewardship.
